As a visiting freshman at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, I found that I have an eye for natural and rhythmic video editing. I learned how to create seamless cuts and the ability to maintain continuity. At Emerson I have developed practical production skills such as how to properly light an interview. I have a fascination for title curation and have recently created a pitch deck and pilot for my original television show, Subpar, a mockumentary about a golf club waitstaff. I am eager to jump into the professional world of filmmaking and storytelling.

I have not always had a passion for movie making. In my senior year at The Ethel Walker School, my favorite English teacher assigned each student a different movie to watch. He handed me a DVD of Memento. I went home, and after watching it (and a video of Christopher Nolan explaining and drawing out the timeline and structure) my view of film changed entirely. Memento remains my favorite movie because of what it taught me: 1) movies can be art and not just entertainment and 2) the craft of a film can mean everything to the story.
